The design of the site is straightforward and no-nonsense. At the site's main page enter your tyre type, indicate a few additional parameters, if desired, such as tyre size, price categories and brand and click on the Show tyres button to see appropriate tyres. On the list page, you can sort by price, brand, profile, size and speed. Click on 'price' to sort the results and on '50' to see more tyres per page.

If you don't know your tyre size, start on the Advice page (top right hand corner inside the yellow Your questions box), select your manufacturer, model and make to see suggestions and then search for tyres.

The only suggestion I would make is that it might be helpful to provide the ability to compare tyres to each other once you have a list of suggested tyres for your vehicle. It would also be helpful to have the site suggest a good, better and best choice within each list pointing the perhaps novice tyre buyer towards the best combination of quality and price for their vehicle's needs.

This site is good but loses points because it doesn't offer you the ability to choose tyres by providing details about your vehicle. The expectation is that you'll go outside and look at the tires on your car now and write down the numbers that are on them and then find those tires online. I guess this is okay but I prefer specifying my vehicle and having tyres recommended to me.

To get started go outside and note down the numbers shown on the tires presently on your vehicle! Then come back and input these numbers in the search box in the left hand column, using the drop down lists and click on the red Search Tyres arrow. You'll be shown a list of tires which you can arrange alphabetically or by price (either ascending or descending). To buy any tire simply indicate the quantity you want and click on the Arrange Fitting arrow.

The site is well-laid out and easy and there is quite a bit of good information available by clicking on the HELP & FAQS link (in the top row) and then the GENERAL INFORMATION link in the right hand column . Ordering is done on a secure page.

This site doesn't do too badly in terms of allowing you to search by a variety of methods. You can search by category using the 'store sections' column on the left or you can do a quick search using the box in the top left hand corner of the page. Or you could click on the graphics at the top of the page (in the middle section) that represent various car accessories, auto care and car styling products. Finally, you could click on the Search link in the top right hand area of the page (in the orange bar) and search by keyword and price range. It would however be nice to be able to search by brand and by specifying your vehicle and seeing a list of appropriate products within a category (for example seat or steering wheel covers).

Once you are within a category (for example Chrome Trims) you can't re-sort the results in any way. Information on individual items is quite variable in length and detail and there is no ability to compare items to each other. When you go to check out you'll be asked to input some personal information (i.e. address and telephone numbers) on a non-secure form. Credit card information is supplied on a secure form but I would rather see ALL information gathering done on a secure form. There doesn't seem to be the ability to create a user account and thus have all shipping address and billing address information captured and kept on file (then you just log in when you return to the site).

There is a number you can call for assistance with sales questions and also an email form and live chat during office hours Monday to Friday. There doesn't seem to be anything extra of any great interest or value on the site in terms of additional information for the car accessory shopper.
