Where Can I Buy A Car Online?US New Brokers

Brokers do the legwork for you.

Overall Rating: 7/10E-Commerce Rating: 3/10
NATIONWIDE - 1Click Auto Brokers - 1Click auto leasing and new car buying services

1Click is a nationwide broker for new cars only (not used). They are a member of the Better Business Bureau Online Reliability Program and request only a $100 fully refundable 'earnest deposit' to get started on the search for your car. They have a large number of client testimonials, a toll free help number and a helpful FAQ section. 1Click's service is not free but they guarantee that even with their sliding-scale fee built in the purchase or lease price of the vehicle you choose will still be the lowest available.

The site is easy to navigate and understand. 1Click's service is well explained. There is a toll free number available for help.

Information collection is not on a secure page and you have to type in things like manufacturer, model and colour choices (leaving room for combinations that are not really available). There aren't really any additional information pages which might be helpful. There is no privacy statement on the site. I'd prefer to see some additional details on how my final fee will be calculated.

How to:

  • Search for a car
Simply input your contact information and vehicle requirements in to this form and click on the Submit button.

  • Contact the company
You can contact 1Click by toll free telephone or via email (click on the E-Mail link in the left-hand column).

NATIONWIDE - Haggle Free Autos
: http://www.hagglefreeautos.com/

Haggle Free Autos is a nation-wide broker for new vehicles only (not used). They are currently waiting to be granted membership in their local Better Business Bureau and have shown their commitment by using the BBB's privacy policy to fashion their own statement. You'll pay $53 to get your car search started (significantly less than the other site in this category). They are very up front about the total cost of their service over and above your initial payment.

The site is simply and easy to navigate. Personal information is collected on a secure form and you can get the process started immediately by paying with your Visa or Mastercard. The data collection form includes a turnaround guarantee. The site has a privacy policy. There are some additional pages of information that are helpful to car shoppers.

You have to type in a lot of the car details (rather than selecting from pull down lists). There is no toll free help available. The company is fairly new and therefore there are few testimonials.

How to:

  • Search for a car
Simply input your contact information and vehicle requirements in to this form and complete the billing information section and click on the Submit Information button.

  • Contact the company
You can contact Haggle Free Autos by telephone (unfortunately not toll free) or by email. Simply see the information at the foot of each page.
